Barcelona president Joan Laporta has stated that the club will continue to welcome new players, with further agreements likely to be completed next week.

The cash-strapped Catalans have previously signed Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia after their exits from Manchester City.

Georginio Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay are reportedly rumored to be close to joining Catalonia on a free transfer, and Laporta has hinted that more players may be unveiled at Camp Nou in the coming days.

"There will be more introductions of players, we're working on it," Laporta told reporters during the news conference celebrating Garcia's arrival.

"We're working hard to bring in players who will help the first team. We need to balance the squad, and you'll be able to see what we're up to. There will be more news next week."

Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi is said to have signed to a new two-year contract, while Laporta has announced that a decision on Ronald Koeman's future will be taken within the next 10 days.
